Hello Classmates!
I personally enjoyed the music that was playing during the relaxation
exercise and found the instructors voice to be soothing. And yet, I did not reach
my full potential of relaxation. But, I do believe if I can use my energy
outward to push a heavy box or run long distances I can use this same energy
inward to improve my health and wellness! Maybe next time!!
Michelle
Where did you find the relaxation exercise? I don't see it.
ReplyDeleteHelo Michelle,
ReplyDeleteMy life has been in a whirlwind these past few weeks. My oldest son just deployed to Afghanistan yesterday. Needless to say, I'm starting to cry as I write this blog.
I think the music did more to relax me as I frequently listen SPA. I just have too much on my mind to fully concentrate and let go. I'll try again tonight.
I look forward tofuture blogs.
Laurie
Hi Michelle,
ReplyDeleteI have learned to tone certain things out so that I can focus on my objective. I remember a time when I allowed or welcomed outside forces or factors, I had to stop because I was allowing their thoughts and ideas to take over my own. I have learned to be very careful when I involve myself with others because their life can become your life before you know it.
I enjoyed your blog :)
Hi Michelle,
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you have a very forfilling life. I had pretty much the same experience with the recording as you did. I am also keeping a positive attitude that I will gain some knowledge and benefits from meditation.

Michelle,
ReplyDeleteKeep with it I am sure you will find something that takes you to your best state! That is the thing I love about these exercises, there is no "one size fits all". What works for this person may not work for you. It is a journey finding what gets you in the right direction. I have an meditation app on my iPad. It plays soft music for a predetermined amount of time so you can meditate on the go. I suggest getting a set of good headphone to drown out the outside noise until you can do it on your own.
Good luck,
Brandy
Michelle,
ReplyDeletemusic is a geat relaxation exercise technique. I think that once we gain more experience with relaxation techniques it will be easier to actually relax! Do you have any other forms of relaxation besides physical exercise? I enjoy both forms but I think that they each have very different but great benefits. I am excited to start this class!
Good Luck,
Tiffany Miller
Hi Michelle,
ReplyDeleteI am in the same boat as you! I loved the music, it reminded me of music that plays in my Pilates class. I also was not able to reach my full potential of relaxation, my mind was wondering here and there.
I love that you came up with a solution to channel that other energy and do it in a way that will improve your physical wellbeing with the intent to change your mind to be able to achieve this ultimate relaxation. Let me know the results and how you felt!
